Mikel Arteta he called for his Arsenal group to rub their palms together in an attempt to get “all with the same energy”.
It premiered on Tuesday night in London and the first three episodes will be released on Thursday.
But already excerpts have been shared online and one excerpt shows that Arteta wasn’t lying when he said he has some “crazy ideas”.
Ahead of a visit to Leicester City in October, Arteta encouraged his players to do something a little different while standing in a circle in the dressing room at the King Power Stadium.
“We’re going to do something, guys,” Arteta said.
“We’re going to take all the energy in this room together. If I tell you I want you to start with this (rubbing hands together). I want you to close your eyes and I’ll tell you what’s going to happen in the game.
“And then you’re going to hold each other’s hands and we’re going to create energy in a bubble and we’re going to jump around there [pointing towards the pitch]. Close your eyes.”
Although it was an unusual method, it appeared to do the trick as Arsenal won 2-0 thanks to goals from Gabriel Magalhaes and Emile Smith-Rowe in the first 20 minutes.
Afterwards, the routine was the talk of the town in the dressing room and ended up being a joke – with Arteta seeing the funny side too.
“You win the game, it works. You don’t win, that wouldn’t work. It’s like everything.
“Yeah, the players responded to it. Then I had to hear them make jokes about it, but the moment it helped, they weren’t expecting it.”
Defender Cedric Soares says the idea was designed to “create a bit of chaos during training” – although it didn’t quite work as Arsenal ended up 4-0 up.
Meanwhile, former captain Granit Xhaka describes Arteta as “a freak in a positive way” for his meticulous managerial methods.
