- Far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has been slammed by a judge over his defamation lawsuit.
- “Spit out your gum, Mr. Jones,” the judge said during a tense exchange with Jones in court.
- The judge also told Jones to “sit down” after he tried to bend over and show the judge his mouth.
Far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was on Tuesday criticized by the judge on the defamation case in a tense exchange.
At one point in the trial, Judge Maya Guerra Gamble paused and looked at the InfoWars host, telling him, “Spit out your gum, Mr. Jones.”
Jones replied, “It’s not gum.”
“Then what is it?” asked the judge. “Because no food or chewing gum of any kind is allowed in the courtroom.”
Jones then tried to say he had the tooth pulled last month.
“So you’re chewing your gum?” asked the judge.
“Would you like me to show you?” Jones replied.
“No, I just want you to answer my question,” Gumble said.
Jone again continued to lean forward in an attempt to prove that he was “massaging” the hole where the tooth once was with his tongue.
“I don’t want to see the inside of your mouth,” Gumble said, ordering Jones to “sit down.”

Gamble also criticized Jones during his testimony Tuesday, saying she was “abusing her tolerance” and berated Jones for acting in the courtroom like the InfoWars show.
“You’re already under oath, to tell the truth,” Gamble told Jones. “You have already broken that oath twice today. Just in those two examples. It seems absurd to suggest to you again that you must tell the truth while testifying. Yet here I am.”
Before appearing in court on Tuesday, Jones was seen outside the courthouse supporting the judge and accusing her of a “fraud of justice.”

Jones is currently the subject of a defamation suit. The parents of victims of the Sandy Hook massacre have sued, claiming they have been tortured by Jones’ repeated claims that the shooting was a “giant hoax” staged by “crisis actors.”
Jones’ InfoWars parent company declared bankruptcy on July.
In April, InfoWars and two other companies filed for bankruptcy, with filings showing each entity owed up to $10 million in estimated liabilities. That same month, Jones sent InfoWars merchandise to supporters as part of a “Emergency Sale”, calling it do-or-die time.
Jones’ attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Insider.
