Six people were killed in a fiery three-car crash at a busy intersection in Los Angeles, officials said.

The crash happened in the Windsor Hills area of ​​the city just before 2 p.m., according to NBC4, and seven people were also injured.

Two of the badly burned cars stopped at a Shell gas station, while a third appeared to have rolled onto its roof near the station’s entrance.

The cause of the crash, which occurred about 10 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles, remains under investigation, and the names and ages of the victims have not been released.

According to KABC, reports initially had two dead, but the number has since risen to six.

The California Highway Patrol says one of the cars was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on La Brea Boulevard before it collided with one of the other cars.

The driver of the car ran a red light before the crash, according to the CHP.
