After 172 days, NFL football is finally back. The 2022 season begins tonight as the Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders square off in the annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Game from Canton, Ohio.

Thursday night’s game is the start of new eras for both clubs. New Jaguars coach Doug Pederson hopes to work similar magic in Jacksonville after helping deliver the first Lombardi Trophy to Philadelphia five years ago. Looking to make a similar impact in Las Vegas is Josh McDaniels, who joins the Raiders after a highly successful run with the New England Patriots.

Tonight’s game features an interesting position battle between Jaguars quarterbacks Jake Luton and Kyle Sloter. Luton, a former sixth-round pick who has yet to attempt a regular-season pass, will start with regular starter Trevor Lawrence getting the night. Slaughter returns to Canton just over a month after quarterbacking the New Orleans Breakers in the USFL playoffs.

We’ll be providing all the information you need for tonight’s match in our live blog below, including live updates, highlights and analysis.
