President Joe Biden’s administration is poised to send a $1 billion arms package to Ukraine as early as Monday, according to Reuters. report.

The $1 billion arms package will be one of the largest aid packages the United States has sent to Ukraine since Russia invaded the country in February.

The $1 billion arms package will include “Ammunition for long-range weapons and armored medical transport vehicles,” according to Reuters sources, who spoke to the network on condition of anonymity.

Specifically, the weapons package will include “munitions for HIMARS, NASAMS surface-to-air missile system munitions and up to 50 M113 armored medical transports,” Reuters mentionted.

But Reuters sources warned that the current package, worth $1 billion, could change before its expected announcement on Monday.

The $1 billion arms package would come days after the Pentagon was announced would send up to $550 million worth of weapons and equipment from the US Department of Defense stockpile to Ukraine.
