During an interview that aired Friday on Fox Business Network’s “Wall Street Week,” he hit back at the Biden administration reportedly contrary legislation proposed by him and Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) to strengthen ties with Taiwan and postpone planned missile test stating that “Every time they’re faced with a bully, aggression from a bully, they weaken, which means you become more of a bully.

Graham said, [relevant remarks begin around 3:45] “This is Ukraine again. I, along with some Democrats, [was] imploring the Biden administration to sanction Putin for the pre-invasion military build-up to let him know if you try to get in, you’ll pay a price. We’ll hit you before you get in. We wanted more weapons in Ukraine before the invasion so they would be ready to fight. They took a different path. What [are] Bob Menendez and I are trying to do? We are trying to increase financial support to Taiwan. We are trying to give them more weapons to deter China and they are underestimating our bill. We have sanctions against China for cyber attacks on a republic called Taiwan. They are trying to weaken a bill that would help Taiwan. They are stopping missile launches by the US military because they don’t want to provoke China. Every time they’re faced with a bully, the aggression from a bully, they weaken, which means you become more of a bully.”
