A Lollapalooza festival security guard is facing charges after being accused of making a false threat of a mass shooting in an attempt to leave work early, according to reports.

Janya B. Williams, an 18-year-old who worked security at the popular music festival in Chicago was charged with making a false terroristic threat on July 29. Chicago Tribune mentionted.

Prosecutors say Williams sent a message at 3 a.m. via the TextNow app to her bestie saying, “Mass shooting at Lollapalooza location at 4 p.m. We have 150 targets,” the agency reported.

The colleague notified her supervisor about the message, which was then quickly sent to the FBI and local police department, according to the report, which cited prosecutors.

About an hour later, Williams told her colleague that a family member had received a threat on Facebook, reported Rolling Stone.

When asked to show a screenshot of the post, prosecutors allege Williams created a fake Facebook page under the pseudonym “Ben Scott” and made a threatening post on the account, according to the report.

The media reported that Williams took a screenshot of the post that read, “Mass shooting at Lollapalooza Grant Park at 6 p.m.” and showed it to her colleague, who sent it to her supervisor.

During their investigation, authorities linked the TextNow message to Williams’ IP address and Apple iCloud, leading to her being taken into custody, according to the Tribune.

Additionally, prosecutors said Williams said she did what she is accused of “because she wanted to get off work early,” according to the report.

Williams, who is being held on $50,000 bail, is scheduled to appear in court Monday, according to outlets.
