Manchester United Winger Alejandro Garnazzo is the most wanted player at Old Trafford and more than 20 clubs have made an offer to take him on loan this summer.

The 18-year-old caught everyone’s eye last season after scoring twice in May’s FA Youth Cup final win over Nottingham Forest.

He already made his Premier League debut in a 1-1 draw with Chelsea last month and manager Erik ten Haag is a big fan of the player.

The mirror report ten Hagg considers whether United is the right environment for Garnazzo to continue to develop at this stage.

More than 20 clubs from five different countries, England, Spain, Germany, Italy and Scotland are hoping United will want to take him on loan.

No decision has yet been made and some in the United hierarchy want the Argentina youth international to stay until January and see how he does.

Premier League teams will be allowed five changes per game from this season and this could give Academy graduates a better chance of game time.

Ten Haag was impressed by Garnazzo’s performance last weekend and told MUTV: “What we want are young players who deserve a chance and we want to give them a chance.

“It shows during pre-season and that’s why he came in and played quite well.

“And that’s promising, his performance was really good.”

United are yet to add to their frontline in the transfer window and Cristiano Ronaldo’s future remains unclear.

Talks continue with Barcelona for midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who United have been chasing for 12 weeks.

Ten Haag was asked about De Jong ahead of Sunday’s clash with Brighton and replied: “We want Frankie [de Jong]? I did not know!

“It’s about the right players, but I can’t talk about players under contract at another club.

“When there is news you will know.”
