Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans “Tweak” his hamstring on Friday. For now, the Bucs don’t seem overly concerned about that.
“It hurts,” coach Todd Bowles told reporters Saturday. “He is everyday. It will be fine. The question is when will we get him out.”
Reporters tried to find a little more information, both about the length of the absence and whether he will play in the first preseason game. Bowles, with a firm brevity that would make Bill Belichick proud, went on to simply say that Evans is “everyday.”
Evans was a very durable player. he has lost only six total games in his eight-year career. He is the only player in league history with eight consecutive 1,000-yard seasons to start his career.
