“Sometimes it takes a woman”

On this week’s episode of FNC’s “Fox News Sunday,” former ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley discussed what could happen in the 2024 presidential election.

She was asked by host Mike Emanuel about former President Donald Trump’s outlook before addressing her own, saying “sometimes it takes a woman.”

“Well, I think President Trump will decide for himself whether he wants to run again,” he said. “And the 6th of January [committee] it was a biased committee from the start with no one pushing back any of the information they have. So it’s very hard for Americans to trust it. What I’m going to tell you is, look, if there’s a place for me, I look at the madness in the world, I look at what’s going on with this awakening culture and our schools that want our kids to decide their gender, I look at the fact that we have men that play women’s sports, I look at the fact that our military has focused on gender pronoun lessons. What I will tell you is that we have to get out of it. This is absolute madness. We have enemies trying to come after us, and America was naive, it was weak, and it was asleep at the wheel.”

“I’m just saying, sometimes, it takes a woman,” Haley continued. “And Margaret Thatcher said if you want something said, ask a man. If you want something done, ask a woman. We must not take our eyes off 2022. If we do not win 2022, there will be no 2024. So we must remain humble, disciplined and win it. And then if there’s a place for me, I’ve never lost a race, I’m not going to start now. We’ll see what happens and move on.

But we must make America strong again. We need to start focusing on our foreign policy in a way that we haven’t in a long time, and we will need to focus on it for the next 20 years. We need to restore logic to our domestic politics. And we have to start fighting for Americans again — fighting for their wallets, fighting for their children’s education, fighting for opportunity and making sure we get back on the road. I will do everything I can to make that happen.
