Alex Jones lawsuit – latest: Infowars host faces two more defamation lawsuits

Sandy Hook victim’s father testifies at Alex Jones’ trial

Infowars founder and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is now facing two more defamation lawsuits filed by parents of other victims after being ordered to pay a total of $49 million in damages.

A lawsuit is being filed in Texas by the parents of another victim of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. His attorney said Friday that the case is on hold because of his company’s bankruptcy.

The second trial is in Waterbury, Connecticut, for the families of eight other victims.

A jury in Austin, Texas, ruled Thursday that it must pay more than $4 million in restitution to the parents of six-year-old Jesse Lewis, who was killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre. On Friday, Jones was ordered to pay an additional $45.2 million as punitive damages.

Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis filed a defamation lawsuit against Jones over his claims that the school shooting, which killed 20 children and six adults, was a hoax.

During the trial it was revealed that his own lawyer had mistakenly shared the entire contents of Jones’ phone with the opposition’s legal team who were asked to provide it to the January 6 panel.

Because Jones is being sued by the families of the Sandy Hook victims

Hours after 26 people were shot and killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012, Alex Jones began making false claims that the massacre was not real.

More than 10 years later, the far-right conspiracy theorist’s inflammatory comments continue to haunt him as the families of the shooting victims – 20 of whom were young children – hold him accountable in court.

After multiple attempts by the Infowars host to delay and derail justice, his time is finally up.
