No updated release date was given and no reason given for the delay.
The game, which began its open beta last month, has been met with surprise. The Verge’s Andrew Webster complimented the game, saying it “felt like a surprisingly solid fighter with a good variety of attacks and characters.”
We love seeing the games people are playing on Steam Deck vs Desktop – for example, here are last week’s top 10 titles on Deck!
No Man’s Sky

Fans were concerned about the delay, believing there was some connection between it and the news that came out of the Warner Bros. merger. / Discovery. Warner Bros. — the company that owns the rights to many, if not all, of his characters MultiVersus roster as well as the game’s publisher — has canceled several creative projects, including Bat girl and a Scooby Doo movie. MultiVersus The game’s director Tony Huynh put those fears to rest by tweeting, “We are not affected by the Discovery / Warner Bros. merger.”
To make up for the delay, developer Player First Games said it will extend the preseason battle pass until August 15. You can join the MultiVersus open beta now on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
