A six-year-old girl was recently punched and robbed in Brooklyn, and police need help tracking down the suspects.

Authorities said the child was in the Williamsburg area near Throop Avenue and Bartlett Street on the evening of July 28 when three males approached, NBC New York mentionted Friday.

One suspect allegedly hit the child in the chest, while the others allegedly took her scooter. Moments later the three fled the area.

“The girl was treated at the scene. Her scooter was worth about $30,” the store said.

Video footage shown the three suspects, one of whom was riding a blue bicycle. In one part of the clip, someone was seen carrying a scooter while running down the street:

“What’s wrong with the world? I mean, how could you stoop so low?’ a neighbor said of the incident. “I’m speechless why, six years old?”

Authorities believe the suspects were between 14 and 16 years old.

“It’s ridiculous because there are a lot of kids around this area, especially on this block alone,” another neighbor said.

Police asked citizens with more information about what happened to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.

A similar incident occurred in Queens when suspects come closer a 16-year-old allegedly threw him off his scooter and then punched and kicked him, ABC 7 reported in April.

“The teenager was stabbed in the back and the suspects took off with his scooter, backpack and phone,” the source said:

Many Democratic-controlled cities across the country have seen violent crime increase this year over last year, according to a report released in June.

Data reviewed by Fox News found that rates of violent crimes such as homicides, rapes, robberies and assaults in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Baltimore were set to surpass last year’s levels.

Democratic Mayor Eric Adams’ New York City has suffered the largest spike in violent crime.
