Tom Brady returns to Buccaneers practice after missing time due to personal issue

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady returned to practice on Saturday. Reporter on scene spotted Brady in his usual No 12 shirt, joining the rest of the squad.

Brady had missed several days of practice earlier in the week. The star quarterback was scheduled to have a rest day Wednesday, along with other veterans, and Tampa Bay did not practice Thursday. On Friday, Brady still didn’t appear on the field, with the Bucks later announcing an excused absence due to a personal matter.

The exact reason for Brady’s leave remains unclear. His absence Friday came two days after his 45th birthday and three days after the NFL he disciplined the Dolphinswho were found to have “impermissibly” recruited Brady while the QB played for both the Patriots and Buccaneers from 2019-2021.

Brady, who did not dispute reports of a connection in Miami earlier this summer, will face no punishment for either starting or entertaining contact with the Dolphins.

The Buccaneers have four more camp practices open to select fans before they begin their 2022 preseason on Aug. 13. Brady is looking to make it a record eighth Super Bowl streak this season, his last under contract with Tampa Bay.
