Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider should be happy to find someone still cares about his band’s work, but instead, the rocker blasted Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake as a “fascist moron” after a pro-lake Twitter account shared the lyrics. in his 1984 song, “We’re Not Gonna Take It”.

Snyder responded to a Twitter account that described itself as Lake’s official campaign account, clarifying that the song is a pro-abortion anthem that specifically centers on a woman’s right to kill her unborn child.

“HEY STUPID! READ SERIES 1: ‘We have the right to CHOOSE!’ This is a PRO-CHOICE hymn that you or co-choose. It was NEVER meant for you fascist idiots!”. Snyder exclaimed on Sunday.

“As a songwriter and singer, I DENOUNCE EVERYTHING [Kari Lake] MEANS! Write your own damn song!” he added.

“The subject in your song is very clear to us, [Dee Snider]. We have the right to choose to vote [Kari Lake],” Lake’s campaign account He wrote in response to the Twisted Sister singer.

When asked if she would file a copyright lawsuit in response to Lake’s campaign allegedly playing the song at her rallies, Snyder said, “I’ve explained that many times. You do not need to obtain permission to play any song at an event. Same with a baseball game.”

“And I’m not going to try to stop someone (unless they’re using it without permission for commercial use – that’s different) with whom I disagree. I WILL report them,” added the singer.

“While I abhor what this ignoramus [Kari Lake] she represents and the deplorable (yes, Hillary Clinton was right) she represents, I can NOT legally or morally stop her from using or singing my song,” Snyder said in another tweet.

“I wrote it for everyone … cherry picking who uses it is censorship,” he added.

Last year, Snider announced that he didn’t want unvaccinated fans to attend his concerts, saying, “Fuck you,” adding that the possibility of him getting sick with the Chinese coronavirus represented an “invasion of my privacy.”
