Error caused Equifax to send incorrect credit scores

Equifax, one of the big three credit reporting agencies, admitted it sent lenders incorrect credit scores for hundreds of thousands of people applying for home and auto loans this spring. Equifax said the errors, caused by a coding problem, were significant enough that some people may have been wrongly denied credit.
